The Great Spirit has given seed
He is the father of this glorious deed
We are the angels sent forth at birth
Sons and daughters of the mother earth
I’ve been the caged and taken wing
And I’ve felt the love that children bring
I take this day in praise of peace
For the gifts you gave in holy grace
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah
I’ve felt the grass beneath my feet
And I’ve heard the morning sparrow speak
Lend my speech to the muted mind
Help me guide the lost and the blind
You’ve touched my heart and I will cherish
That truth in love will never perish
Let the music of the earth open to the deafened ear
And give your sorrowed children the gift of joyous tears
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Glory, glory, hallelujah

A side street sanctuary
The homeless gather round
Whispering tales of angel wings
Above the hallowed ground
Tremors of a heartbeat
A newborn baby cries
In the eastern heavens
A new star's on the rise
Hallelujah
All God's children are gonna sing
Hallelujah
Pray for peace and the newborn King
A hobo watched, strangers came
Heeding to the call
Hearing that a prince of peace
Was born beneath the star
Guided to this alley
The strangers stood in awe
Humbled by a homeless child
Who had the face of God
Hallelujah
All God's children are gonna sing
Hallelujah
Pray for peace and the newborn King
A mother holds him to her breast
The fearful kneel in praise
No gold, myrrh or frankincense
No warmth this Christmas day
A hobo hands his tattered scarf
To wrap around the babe
Knowing in his heart of hearts
The gift was that he gave
Hallelujah
All God's children are gonna sing
Hallelujah
Pray for peace and the newborn King

How do I know, this is the road
I'm prayin' I can carry the load
We travelers, riches we bring
We are shepherds, we angels without wings
If you believe, Mother Mary conceived
A cold winter's night, a star shining bright
Showing the way, showing the way
How do I know, if the truth lies
I'm singing it's in her eyes
A dove in the rafters, a mother's keep
Forever after, she coos him to sleep
If you believe, Mother Mary conceived
A cold winter's night, a star shining bright
Showing the way, showing the way
Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the new born king
Peace on earth and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled
How do I know, this is the child
I gotta go now, where are we going
When the world is crying, are we the lamb
That keeps on trying, to keep you warm
If you believe, Mother Mary conceived
A cold winter's night, a star shining bright
Showing the way, showing the way
The first Noel, the angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields where they lay
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the king of Israel.
